Gabrielle Kosziwka

Instructor

Halton Hockey Academy welcomes Gabrielle Kosziwka to our team as an Instructor, she brings with her a great knowledge of the game, as well as explosive skating and excellent puck control skills, along with her passion and coaching experience with young hockey players abroad, there couldn’t be a better way for her knowledge of the game and playing experiences to be used than helping to develop our younger athletes.

Gabrielle started playing hockey at the young age of 5, because she wanted to be just like her big brother. She started off playing on boy’s teams until the age of ten; one of those teams included the Georgetown Raiders Novice AA team.

She then played with the girls on the Halton Hills Twisters, she played with the Twisters for the next two years before she made the jump to the Brampton Canadettes Atom AA Team. Gabrielle played in Brampton for eight years under the same coach while taking individual lessons in skating and shooting. As a 16 year old Gabrielle made The Brampton Junior Thunder and was named co captain in her rookie year, as well as leading the team in points for each of the next two seasons.

During these two seasons she was recruited by many university teams in both the United States and in Canada, including Clarkson, Mercyhurst, Dartmouth, St Lawrence, and University of Toronto. Gabrielle chose to play for the Clarkson University Golden Knights and just completed her second season as a Golden Knight. The team just concluded the most successful season in the programs 7 year history finishing 5th in the Nation after a heartbreaking loss in the NCAA quarterfinals.

Gabrielle continues her education at Clarkson University and is currently playing ECAC hockey for the Golden Nights.
